My “daily driver” computer is a Mac. Would be really nice if there was a Mac version of Spike. I ordinarily like to support companies whose products are compatible with Linux, Windows and Mac. If I have an issue with one of these OSes, I can switch to one of the other two. I made an exception in SignalHound’s case since they do offer a Linux version of Spike. Just ordered a SP145. I can schlep around another computer as part of my SP145 based spectrum analyzer. Still, would be nice to only need one laptop.
Are there others that would really be interested in a Mac version of Spike?
We do have minimal ARM Mac support for the SP145 in the form of compiled APIs. If you were writing your own software you could take advantage of them to use the instrument on Mac. You can find those libraries in our SDK. Porting Spike is a much larger project, and no effort has been made on this port yet. It has been requested a few times over the years, there is some interest. I can’t provide any timelines or estimates on this project.
I can second interest in a macOS and/or Linux version of Spike, but I am also intimately aware of the burden of maintaining multi-platform software 🙂

You can download Spike for Linux (Ubuntu and Red Hat). The SA- products are Windows only, but BB- SM- and SP- products are supported under both.
