    I am performing spectrum measurements in sweep mode on a very low power CW tone near the noise floor. I have come to notice that turning on the Spur Reject causes an artifact to appear at the center of the span regardless of where I am tuned. This occurs with low RBW and VBW settings at or below 100Hz. If I turn Spur Reject off, the artifacts disappear, but the noise floor rises by about 5dB. Is this normal?

    This thread was resolved via email.

    Outcome: Disabling spur reject will raise the noise floor by ~3dB. The artifact in question is likely an internally generated spur that is within the specification of the receiver.
